Job Title: RGN Nurse (Registered General Nurse)

Rate Of Pay: Up to £22 per hour + Overtime

Shift Patterns: Full time 40 hours per week

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled RGN Nurse to join our team at John Masefield House in Oxford. As a Registered General Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents with physical disability and/or long-term neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, and long-term service users, prioritizing their health and well-being.
  • Behave in a professional and discreet manner at all times, adhering to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code.
  • Be competent and confident in managing people with long-term health conditions, providing individualized care and support.
  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions/treatments for service users with complex needs, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Proactively identify, diagnose, and manage treatment plans for service users, as appropriate, and intervene appropriately in complex, urgent, or emergency situations.
  • Recognize and work within your own competence level, seeking support and guidance when needed.
  • Produce accurate, contemporaneous, and complete records of service user interaction and consultation, consistent with legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Support, manage, and guide support workers on a daily basis, promoting a positive and inclusive team environment.
  • Continual personal development to develop yourself and the role, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.

Necessary Experience or Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who has a real passion for caring and helping people, with a valid NMC Pin and the ability to work on a shift/rota pattern.

  • Have the right to work in the UK

About the Service:

John Masefield House in Oxford is a specialist nursing home supporting adults with physical disability and/or long-term neurological conditions, including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, brain injury, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, speech impairment, spina bifida, hydrocephalus, or stroke.
