Leadership Opportunity in Mental Health

Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist in Community Child & Adolescent Eating Disorders to join their team. This is an exciting career opportunity for a leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality mental health services to children and adolescents with eating disorders and complex mental health needs.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing diagnosis, management, and consultation for complex mental health presentations to the multidisciplinary team. You will also participate in clinical work involving face-to-face meetings with families/young people referred to the consultant post holder.

The successful candidate will have a broad range of experience in psychiatric practice and in the use of psychological therapies. They will also have experience and competencies in assessing and treating children and adolescents with eating disorders and complex mental health needs and their families.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £110,000 - £140,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

As a Consultant Psychiatrist in this role, you will be expected to take part in yearly appraisals of all medical duties and participate in clinical work involving face-to-face meetings with families/young people referred to the consultant post holder. You will also be responsible for assessing a young person's mental state, formulating a diagnosis, and monitoring the risks a young person poses.
