FC&A Business Analyst

About the FC&A Business Analyst Role
The FC&A Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring the overall efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy of GLLS budgeting and forecasting processes, as well as cost reporting, in line with company and group requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the annual planning process and quarterly balance sheet and capital planning forecasting
- Be the point of contact for all forecast/plan-related questions and upgrade and maintain planning models
- Assist in identifying and defining systems & process alternatives capable of improving planning and forecasting in the company
- Support the analysis of the financial performance of GLLS businesses and assist in analyzing reporting requirements

Key Skills & Experience:
- Business skills and commercial awareness, with experience of the insurance industry and the ability to evaluate solutions for commercial opportunities and/or risks
- Financial Modelling expertise, including building and maintaining financial models, organising and modelling data in an efficient manner, allowing financial models to be understandable
- Analytical skills, approaching problem-solving in a systematic way, recognising relationships and causal links while balancing detail with the 'bigger picture'
- Technical skills, including working knowledge of SAP, SAP BO, advanced level Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Accounting and regulatory knowledge, including IFRS 17/9 and UK GAAP
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- A recognised accounting or business qualification
- At least 3 years of experience in the insurance sector
