CAMHS Crisis and Home Treatment Specialist

We are looking for a highly motivated CAMHS Crisis and Home Treatment Specialist to join our team at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing holistic mental health assessments, signposting and liaison, specialist clinical input to individuals with physical health and co-morbid mental health issues.
Main Duties- Undertake urgent assessments of individuals with mental health problems in acute crisis and provide intensive community-based treatment/support services as an alternative to inpatient admission.
- Work with partner inpatient agencies to support timely discharge from hospital back to the community.
- Be part of a robust multidisciplinary team (MDT) and attend regular clinical caseload reviews, completing associated tasks to ensure safe care and/or discharge planning.
- Keep clear and concise records on individuals under our care.
- Act as a point of contact for individuals and families as crises arise and employ effective de-escalation skills.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health, a specific qualification in a relevant therapeutic specialty, and experience of working with young people.
