Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with children and adolescents experiencing mental health issues, providing holistic assessments, signposting, and specialist clinical input.

You will be working within our Crisis and Home Treatment - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) based at Parkview Clinic. Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake assessments of children and adolescents with mental health problems in acute crisis and provide intensive community-based treatment/support services as an alternative to inpatient admission.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to support timely discharge from hospital back to the community.
  • Participate in regular clinical caseload reviews as part of our robust multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain clear and concise records on young people under our care.
  • Serve as a point of contact for children and families as crises arise.
  • Order and monitor the efficacy of prescribed medications and provide feedback to the team.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including pension scheme, annual leave, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
