**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Shorterm Group. As a key member of our Heavy Maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our rolling stock.

About the Role:

  • Carry out maintenance and overhaul of rail vehicles to preset standards and procedures.
  • Fitting floors, panelling, seating, tables, windows, and doors in the interior of rolling stock.
  • Electrical tasks may include installation and replacement of traction and rolling stock components, carrying out modifications, and installing and terminating vehicle control wiring harnesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out vehicle maintenance work as allocated by the Team Leader.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of work completed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operation of the workshop.

  • A competitive salary of £17.64 per hour (PAYE) or £23.10 per hour (Umbrella), depending on experience.
  • 25 days annual leave per annum, plus standard UK Bank Holidays.
