A reputable secondary school and pupil referral unit in West Cumbria is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Professional to start in January 2025.

This specialist learning environment provides support for pupils aged 10-16 with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH), as well as special educational needs including ASC, MLD, and ADHD.

The successful candidate will work closely with pupils presenting a range of additional needs, supporting 3 students per day on a full-time, 1:1 basis.

Job Requirements:
  1. Hold a teaching qualification (QTS ideally) and have experience working in an SEN or PRU setting.
  2. Be responsible for teaching across Maths, English, Science, and Personal Skills, with the option of receiving support with planning.
  3. Have rates of pay available from £150-£175 per day (£30-35 per hour), dependent upon experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver tailored 1:1 sessions for students with various additional needs, unable to access mainstream education.
  • Teach Maths, English, Science, and Personal Skills to pupils across KS3-KS4, differentiating for a range of abilities.
