Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis

Location: United States, New York, Rochester

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing financial reporting and analysis for New York State Electric & Gas Corporation (NYSEG) and Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation (RG&E). The Director will coordinate with the regulatory team to ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review and coordinate monthly performance reporting for NYSEG and RG&E, communicating results to the NY CEO.
  2. Lead liaison with NY Regulatory, reviewing all NYSEG and RG&E financial regulatory filings.
  3. Responsible for reviewing and coordinating rate case data responses, including testimony, for NYSEG and RG&E.
  4. Review and coordinate external Financial Reporting for NYSEG and RG&E, including standalone Financial Statements and FERC reporting.
  5. Assist in the annual Budgeting process, reviewing and providing key inputs, and reviewing results.
  6. Participate in the preparation and review of Investment/divestment standards and related valuation work for NYSEG and RG&E.
  7. Develop and maintain financial analysis for ad-hoc requests and ongoing corporate objectives.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance with a minimum of ten years relevant work experience in finance/control.
  2. Advance degree or certification preferred.
  3. Expert knowledge in accounting, finance, overall financial statements, and cash flows.
  4. Exposure to IFRS Accounting a plus.
