Senior Financial Analyst - New York Controller

This role will oversee all financial information related to NYSEG and RG&E, including stand-alone and FERC reporting.

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge in accounting, finance, overall financial statements and cash flows, regulatory accounting, and exposure to IFRS Accounting.

The base salary range for this position is $149,000 – $186,000, dependent on experience and location.

About the Role
  1. This position is responsible for accounting and financial reporting analysis under US GAAP and regulatory coordination for all financial information and regulatory filings within NYSEG and RG&E.
  2. This role will assist in all regulatory processes (as led by the regulatory team) and the forecasting process (for both long-term planning and budgets).

This role will be responsible for understanding the end-to-end results and reporting for NYSEG and RG&E. The candidate must have strong collaboration skills particularly across organizations, with excellent communication skills.

Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance with a minimum of ten years relevant work experience in the finance/control area.
  2. Advance degree or certification preferred.
  3. Expert knowledge in accounting, finance, overall financial statements and cash flows, regulatory accounting.
  4. Exposure to IFRS Accounting a plus.

A strong delivery focus, ability to prioritize and use initiative at an appropriate level, confidence to challenge/question where appropriate, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required for success in this role.
