Infrastructure Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Lead to join our dynamic team in Aberdeen. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of leading or supervising a technical team and will bring a passion for technology and a commitment to delivering outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical and service quality assurance
  • Leading the Prosource IT team
  • On-call rota management
  • Serving as the last internal point of escalation for technical or functional queries
  • Managing incidents, requests, problems, and changes in accordance with ITIL processes
  • Carrying out capacity management, knowledge management, and asset management in accordance with ITIL processes
  • Planning and implementing changes in accordance with change management processes
  • Engaging and coordinating with third-party vendors and support providers as required
  • Managing the full lifecycle of all software and services within the service scope

Requirements:

  • Enterprise infrastructure support experience ideally within a medium to large enterprise setting
  • Previous experience of supervising or leading teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with individuals up to Senior Leadership level
  • Experience of installing, configuring, and supporting infrastructure technologies and products in both virtual and physical environments
  • Working experience of the following: Microsoft Windows Server, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Azure management and support, Active Directory, and Azure Active Directory
  • Experience of dealing with third-party vendors and support providers
  • Knowledge of Information Security best practices
  • Skills in root cause investigation and the ability to resolve business-critical issues
  • An awareness of emerging technologies and demonstrable desire to stay current
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be self-supporting and proactive
  • Experience and understanding of working within an ITIL environment
  • Relevant technical certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, etc.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rota
