We are seeking an experienced Business Contract Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our contracting team, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, editing, and negotiating commercial customer agreements. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with company policies and best practices.
">About the Role:
- Commercial Contract Review and Drafting: You will review and draft various types of commercial contracts, including sales contracts, amendments, reseller agreements, pricing agreements, contract renewals, and customer requests for proposal. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be essential in ensuring that these agreements meet company requirements.
- Contract Negotiation: You will negotiate commercial contracts with customers, exercising sophisticated analytical thought to identify innovative contract solutions. Your ability to prioritize competing demands from multiple sources in a fast-paced environment will be crucial in meeting deadlines.
- Training and Advisory: You will train and advise commercial teams on agreement structure, templates, risks, and alternatives. Your expertise will help ensure that these teams have the necessary knowledge to execute contracts effectively.
- Compliance and Risk Management: You will ensure compliance with the contracts approval policy and other company policies. Your ability to identify and mitigate potential risks will be vital in maintaining a compliant and risk-managed contracting process.
- Collaboration: You will work independently, with guidance only in complex situations. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders will be essential in driving business outcomes.
About You:
- Law Degree: You possess a law degree and have 2+ years' experience with commercial contract review, redlining, and drafting, including local, regional, and global agreements.
- Contract Negotiation Experience: You have 2+ years' experience with contract negotiations and external client engagement.
- Advanced Writing and Communication Skills: You possess advanced writing and communication skills with a meticulous attention to detail and English language fluency.
- Lifesciences Industry Experience: It would be beneficial if you also possess previous experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and/or life sciences industry.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Salesforce.com (SFDC) and/or an SFDC-based contract lifecycle management system would be an asset.
Salary: The salary range for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. This compensation package includes a comprehensive benefits program, which includes remote working arrangements, career development opportunities, and access to the latest technology and tools.
