We are seeking a skilled Commercial Pricing Strategist to join our team at Arriva UK Trains Limited. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our commercial success.

As a Commercial Pricing Strategist, you will provide support to our Pricing & Distribution Manager in developing and implementing our pricing strategy, maintaining our price management system, analysing revenue performance, and ensuring that all of our pricing actions are properly communicated to key stakeholders.

You will provide essential insights that drive business decisions and optimize revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Pricing & Distribution Manager in developing and implementing Grand Central's fares structure to maintain competitiveness and achieve forecasted revenue growth
  • Ensure a full range of competitively priced tickets for Grand Central's train services are available for sale through all distribution channels and build strong relations with third-party retailers and GC traincrew to influence and further leverage GC's commercial objectives
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of revenue data to uncover opportunities for growth and optimization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational performance and revenue-generating projects
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders

  • Dynamic and positive individual with the enthusiasm for getting to grips with complex issues and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful insights
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • An understanding of rail systems, pricing, and revenue reporting is desirable

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or similar
  • Permanent eligibility to work in the UK

The estimated salary for this role is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
