We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Ward Leader in the Medicine specialty at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS). This is a part-time 23 hours per week, permanent role on ward C5, a 14-bedded purpose-built infectious diseases unit caring for patients with a variety of illnesses.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, while maintaining a safe and efficient operational environment. They will work collaboratively with colleagues to identify and implement improvements, and contribute to the development of the ward's strategic plan.

We are looking for a forward-thinking, dynamic individual who is passionate about the specialties within Medicine and has a proven track record of leadership and management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the specialty, including considerable experience at Band 6 level, and will be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development.

  • 1st Level Registered nurse on relevant part of the NMC Register.
