Job Description

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team. As a Physiotherapist for Medicine for Older Adults, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

The successful candidate will have a broad range of post-qualification experience and be able to work across various clinical areas, including Medicine for Older Adults. You will be responsible for performing assessments, formulating treatment plans, and goal setting with a diverse range of patients.

We are looking for a Physiotherapist who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and has a strong desire to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist looking to further your career, we encourage you to apply.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform assessments and formulate treatment plans for patients in Medicine for Older Adults
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and successful transitions for patients
  • Develop professional leadership and management skills through on-the-job learning, supervision, and in-service training

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Physiotherapist with a broad range of post-qualification experience
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Evidence of experience using specialist equipment, including respiratory
  • Documented evidence of experience doing shifts within an acute respiratory on-call out-of-hours service
  • Experience as a student supervisor
  • Clear desire for wanting to work in UHS therapy service
  • Clear expressed desire for undertaking a generic rotation in an acute Trust
  • Clear knowledge of NHS systems
  • Good written and verbal communication
