About the Role:

The Cambian Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Southlands School in Lymington, Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work one-to-one with a pupil or in small groups, assisting with their learning across the curriculum throughout the school day.
  • Provide a calm, patient, and consistent approach, while also being warm, nurturing, and encouraging of all students and their interests.
  • Participate in activities during breaks and lunchtimes as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people with challenging behaviors, difficulties, and interests.
  • Ability to work under the direction of teachers to deliver learning material and take initiative to design a curriculum suited to the individual student.
  • Existing TA/LSA qualifications or good passes in English and Maths are advantageous.
  • Interest in outdoor learning, vocational, or Forest School education is beneficial.
