About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Education Support Assistant to join our team at Academics. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a mainstream primary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to the child with ASD, focusing on behavior management and academic development.
- Collaborate with the teaching staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
- Support the child's social and emotional development through positive reinforcement and behavioral strategies.
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting the child.
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., special education, psychology, or a related field).
- Experience working with children with ASD in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
