About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our Manufacturing Process Engineering Team, you will play a crucial role in developing and improving existing manufacturing systems, processes, procedures, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement efficient and cost-effective production methods for major sub-components and final assembly of machines.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality assurance departments to address manufacturing issues, implement best practice standard work on the shop floor, and manage BOMs and material movement.
  • Develop ergonomic processes based on Lean Manufacturing principles, provide production support, and oversee new product introductions and production launches.
Requirements
  • Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • An organised approach to work, the ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative.
  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks.
  • Good customer service and communication skills, with experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
