Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Join Mallaghan Engineering, a leading global manufacturer of Ground Support Equipment, as a Manufacturing Engineer. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team and contribute to the development and improvement of our manufacturing systems, processes, and procedures.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer to work closely with our Production Process Engineering Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and improving existing manufacturing systems, processes, and procedures to maximize safety, quality, and delivery, and minimize cost of manufacture.
  • Planning, coordinating, and implementing efficient and cost-effective production methods for major sub-components and final assembly of machines.
  • Coordinating with production, engineering, and quality assurance departments to establish and implement containment and root cause fixes to manufacturing issues.
  • Implementing best practice standard work on the shop floor to improve safety and quality and maximize efficiency.
  • Developing ergonomic processes designed around Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Providing production support to production departments.
  • New product introduction, design for manufacture reviews, establishing processes, and production launch.
Requirements:
  • 3rd level qualification HND in engineering or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a manufacturing engineer or a similar profession.
  • Experience with PULSE software.
  • Experience with CAD software such as Solidworks, PLM, Lantek.
  • CAD/CAM + CNC programming experience.
  • Strong planning, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Availability to work flexible hours when required with notice.
