Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

At Mallaghan Engineering, we are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Manufacturing Process Engineering Team, you will be responsible for developing and improving our manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment to maximize safety, quality, and delivery, while minimizing cost.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement efficient production methods for major sub-components and final assembly of machines.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance departments to establish and implement containment and root cause fixes for manufacturing issues.
  • Implement best practice standard work on the shop floor to improve safety and quality and maximize efficiency.
  • Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and material movement through Plan For Every Part.
  • Develop ergonomic processes designed around Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Provide production support to production departments.
  • Lead new product introduction, design for manufacture reviews, and establish processes for production launch.
Requirements:
  • 3rd level qualification in engineering or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a manufacturing engineer or a similar profession.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and use initiative.
  • Experience with PULSE software.
  • Experience with CAD software such as Solidworks, PLM, and Lantek.
  • CAD/CAM + CNC programming experience.
  • Ability to use metrics to analyze results.
  • Strong passion for innovation and results-driven.
  • Strong planning, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Available to work flexible hours when required with notice.
