Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Mallaghan Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Manufacturing Process Engineering Team, you will be responsible for developing and improving existing manufacturing systems, processes, procedures, and equipment to maximize safety, quality, and delivery, while minimizing cost of manufacture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement efficient and cost-effective production methods for major sub-components and final assembly of machines.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality assurance departments to establish and implement containment and root cause fixes for manufacturing issues.
  • Implement best practice standard work on the shop floor to improve safety and quality and maximize efficiency.
  • Develop ergonomic processes designed around Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Provide production support to production departments.
  • New product introduction, design for manufacture reviews, establishing processes, and production launch.
Requirements:
  • 3rd level qualification HND in engineering or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a manufacturing engineer or a similar profession.
  • Experience with PULSE software.
  • Experience with CAD software such as Solidworks, PLM, Lantek.
  • CAD/CAM + CNC programming experience.
  • Strong planning, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Available to work flexible hours when required with notice.
