About the Role

At Maximus, we are committed to helping individuals achieve their employment goals. As an Employment Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting customers in addressing their barriers to employment. You will work with customers to identify their strengths and weaknesses, and develop tailored packages of support to help them secure and sustain employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support customers in developing their employability skills and confidence
  • Build strong relationships with customers, employers, and other stakeholders to facilitate job placements
  • Work with customers to identify and overcome barriers to employment, including health conditions and disabilities
  • Develop and implement effective in-work support plans to ensure a smooth transition into employment
  • Monitor and evaluate customer progress, making adjustments to support plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other Maximus teams to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting to meet compliance and quality standards

Required Skills and Experience

  • Empathy and understanding of customer needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a target-driven environment
  • Experience of working with people with multiple and complex needs
  • Knowledge of the labour market and employment trends
  • Ability to market specific attributes of customers to employers
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at grade 'C' or above
  • A strong commitment to personal and professional development

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

Member of IEPEmotional IntelligenceKnowledge of the labour market, wider provision in the local areaExperience of securing employment opportunities for a wide range of individuals
