About the RoleAs a Senior Meat Inspection Coordinator, you will play a critical part in ensuring our production and production meet the food safety and quality standards at our Further Processing Plant.
You will oversee a group of inspectors responsible for inspecting meat product from all incoming meat suppliers, working on the AM shift with flexibility needed as per business requirement.

- Lead a team providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure effective and efficient inspection operations
- Ensure that all inspection protocols and procedures are followed, thoroughly examining meat products for safety, quality, and adherence to standards
- Train and develop the team to enhance understanding of inspection protocols and trends relevant to food safety
- Oversee the inspection findings and maintain accurate records
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including production staff, Quality teams, and planners to address adherence to plan and inspection-related issues
- Ensure meat delivery in time to production teams to adhere to production plan
- Conduct daily stocktakes in the meat inspection room and report on errors
- Execute the site's plan with ongoing measurement of performance, achievement of scheduled deadlines, and allocating resources appropriately
- Liaise with your Supervisor and identify and manage Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards, and risks
Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum

Requirements- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing industry in a Team Leader position
- Experience in food manufacturing and/or the FMCG industry will be highly regarded
- Ability to work in a cold environment
- Proven communication and leadership skills to lead a team
- Drive the continual improvement of both processes and people
- A desire to build team capability through training and transfer of knowledge
- Computer literate and comfortable using the MS suite
- Experience managing information related to raw materials, product-in-process, packaging materials, finished products, or packed stock
- Familiarity with GMP Compliance
- Experience driving positive cultural change
