Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the South Tees Academic Cardiovascular Unit (ACU) as a Senior Research Manager. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development, management, and execution of funded ACU research and activities.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to manage ACU projects throughout their life cycles. This will include protocol refinement, study set-up, site and progress monitoring, on-going study management, closeout, and reporting with the Chief Investigators (CI). The post holder will ensure that the studies are conducted in accordance with the relevant clinical trial regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement research strategies to achieve ACU goals
  • Manage and coordinate multi-centre randomised controlled trials
  • Ensure compliance with UK Framework for Health and Social Care and research governance information
  • Contribute to the development and submission of related publications and grant applications
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research management, with experience in implementing and managing multi-centre randomised controlled trials. They will also have a thorough knowledge and understanding of working in a research team, appropriate professional conduct, and dealing with matters such as confidentiality.
