Patient Access Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Coordinator to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring seamless communication between patients, clinicians, and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for patients and families, providing accurate and timely information about appointments, procedures, and hospital services.
- Coordinate patient bookings, appointments, and procedures, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and up-to-date.
- Work closely with clinical staff to ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate care, and that all necessary information is shared effectively.
- Provide administrative support to the clinical team, including data entry, report distribution, and typing.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and staff, ensuring that all interactions are professional, courteous, and respectful.
Requirements
- Good general education with English and Maths to GCSE standard or equivalent.
- Relevant NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification or experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and staff at all levels.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
