Grafton Banks Limited is currently seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join their team and contribute to the growth and success of their business. This is a newly created role, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will suit a career-driven and ambitious individual with a strong background in finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash Flow Management: Develop and implement effective cash flow forecasting and reporting systems to ensure the company's financial stability.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of 3 finance staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the finance function.
  • Financial Analysis: Work closely with the CFO to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations to improve profitability and drive business growth.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely monthly management accounts and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records.
  • Long-term Growth: Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities as the company continues to grow and evolve.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Finalist (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager, with a strong background in cash flow forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations, and year-end audits.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP and Power BI, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Location: Must be living within commutable distance of Headcorn, Kent.
