This role is critical in providing financial guidance and support to the company during a period of transition for up to 5 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all company financial accounts and investments, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Create comprehensive monthly and annual financial reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts, providing valuable insights for business decision-making.
- Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate financial information.
- Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
- Motivate and lead the finance team to achieve business goals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported, maintaining the highest level of financial integrity.
- Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation, ensuring the company's financial stability and growth.
- Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations, maintaining a strong reputation for financial excellence.
- Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports, providing strategic financial guidance.
- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities, ensuring the company's financial efficiency.
- Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies, maintaining the highest level of financial accuracy.
- Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations, ensuring the reliability of financial information.
- Report to the Managing Director with timely and accurate financial information, providing valuable insights for business decision-making.
- Assist the Managing Director in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a company accountant, preferably within the construction sector, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel, and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve business goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information effectively.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize work effectively, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification is highly desirable, demonstrating a high level of financial expertise.
