Job Overview

We are seeking a part-time housekeeping aid to join our team at Revera Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing residents' apartments and common areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean areas according to assigned schedules.
  • Clean residents' apartments and common areas, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
  • Operate floor care machines and steam cleaning equipment to maintain floors and surfaces.
  • Strip, scrub, spray, and buff all carpet and non-carpet floor surfaces to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Pick up garbage and transport it to designated areas in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to established residence policies and procedures, promoting resident rights and dignity.
  • Prepare documentation as required, including incident reports and maintenance requests.
  • Respect and promote resident rights, adhering to confidentiality and boundaries.
  • Attend in-service training and staff meetings to stay informed and up-to-date on policies and procedures.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Program initiatives to enhance resident care and satisfaction.
  • Work in a position of trust with vulnerable adults, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Uphold the organization's values and philosophy, providing exceptional service to residents and their families.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications:

  • Good oral and written English communication skills to effectively interact with residents, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to provide feedback on a day-to-day basis, contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge and experience with standard institutional cleaning techniques, including floor care and laundry procedures.
  • Previous experience in commercial/residential/healthcare cleaning and laundry procedures is desirable.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating independence and self-motivation.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including standing, walking, and lifting.
  • Proficiency in a second language is an asset, enhancing communication with residents and colleagues.
  • Must provide a complete and current Vulnerable Sector Check or be willing to obtain one.

Estimated Salary Range: $25-$35 per hour
