Job Description

**Software Support Specialist / ERP Technical Support Consultant**

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Support Specialist / ERP Technical Support Consultant to join our team at Proactive Solutions Group Ltd. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support to our European customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Provide Technical Support**: Assist customers with software installations and configurations on various supported platforms, including Windows and Linux.
  • **Document Solutions**: Document customer solutions for internal reference and customer benefit.
  • **Manage Business Intelligence Projects**: Manage full life cycle Business Intelligence and reporting projects for customers, including design, planning, building, testing, documentation, and deployment.
  • **Training and Development**: Prepare for and/or conduct training classes, prepare training materials and quick reference guides to help support customers.
  • **Pre-Sales Support**: Provide sales representatives with pre-sales support and perform technical demonstrations.
  • **Event Support**: Attend trade organization events with a view to promoting our products and services and supporting sales functions at these events.
  • **Travel**: Travel will be required, including limited international travel.
Requirements
  • **Effective Communication**: Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff.
  • **Technical Knowledge**: Knowledge of current supported hardware and software platforms in one or more operating systems (Windows and Linux).
  • **Troubleshooting**: Troubleshooting proficiency with relational database connectivity issues, an understanding of Internet applications, especially web browsers and HTML.
  • **Database Knowledge**: Good knowledge of relational databases and data dictionary concepts, including tables, and indexes/keys.
  • **ERP Experience**: Experience of ERP software, systems and solutions.
  • **Business Intelligence**: Experience in developing reports using a Business Intelligence tool such as Cyberquery, Business Objects, Cognos, Crystal, QlikView, Power BI, etc. or reporting using a programming language.
  • **Software Development**: Background in software development.
  • **Education**: A relevant computer science degree.
