About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Neurodevelopmental Team in Bedfordshire CAMHS services. As a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will play a key role in providing specialist mental health assessment and intervention to children and young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist mental health assessment and intervention to children and young people with complex needs.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based interventions.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the child, their family, and other professionals.
  • Provide supervision and training to junior staff members.
  • Contribute to the development of the team's clinical strategy and service development.

Requirements
  • Postgraduate (Doctoral) Training in Clinical Psychology leading to Practitioner Psychologist Registration with the HPC.
  • Post doctoral training in supervision.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with complex mental health needs, particularly in a learning disability setting.
  • Experience of providing specialist mental health assessment and intervention, including risk assessment and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families.
