About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our Neurodevelopmental Team in Bedfordshire CAMHS services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing specialist mental health assessment and intervention to children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences, including those with severe behaviors and moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist mental health assessment and intervention to children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate the delivery of services and provide specialist supervision, consultation, training, and direct clinical interventions
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to support children and young people with complex needs
- Collaborate with other statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure seamless service delivery
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality service delivery
Requirements
- Postgraduate (Doctoral) Training in Clinical Psychology leading to Practitioner Psychologist Registration with the HPC
- Postdoctoral training in supervision
- Experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences, including those with severe behaviors and moderate to severe mental health difficulties
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and providing specialist supervision, consultation, training, and direct clinical interventions
- Highly developed knowledge of lifespan developmental psychology, models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology
- Knowledge of legislation and its implications for clinical practice and professional management in relation to the health and welfare of children and adolescents and mental health
