Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Specialist Psychologist to join our team at All Saints Hospital in Oldham. In this role, you will lead our multidisciplinary team in providing specialist psychological services to individuals with complex communication needs, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assess and formulate treatment plans for individuals with complex needs, incorporating a range of evidence-based interventions.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice standards.
  • Supervise and mentor junior members of the team, promoting excellence in practice and supporting their professional development.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including nursing staff, therapists, and administrative personnel, to ensure seamless care pathways and effective communication.
Essential Requirements
  • Doctorate-level qualification in applied psychology (e.g., Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Forensic Psychology).
  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist with Charterable status with the British Psychological Society.
  • Significant experience working with individuals with complex communication needs, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Proven ability to assess, formulate, and work therapeutically with individuals with complex needs.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with experience of managing a team of professionals.
