As a highly skilled EC&I Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with a leading manufacturing business based in Barrow-In-Furness on their Submarines Programmes.

This is a hybrid position where you will be required to travel to site twice fortnightly, working closely with internal and external customers within a technical team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in engineering lifecycle phases and technical specialities, as well as proficiency in PLC and SCADA programming, C&I system verification test design, or parts specification.

A relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Degree or equivalent qualification, along with experience in an Engineering background, is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating and executing engineering tasks or packages of work, providing guidance and advice in a consistent professional manner.
  • Taking notice of appropriate budget, timescale and quality standards as well as providing leadership where required.

You will engage in functional design, offer specialized advice, generate evidence to support legislative, safety, and technical requirements, collaborate with internal and external customers within a technical team, have the chance to conduct peer reviews, and effectively articulate and present technical arguments in a clear, logical, and concise manner.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience of engineering lifecycle phases and technical specialities.
  • Working towards relevant Professional Registration.
  • Significant demonstrable experience of engineering lifecycle phases and technical specialities.
  • Having obtained or capable of obtaining relevant Professional Registration (CEng).

We estimate the salary for this role to be around £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
