We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Calibration Specialist to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness, UK. As an Electrical Calibration Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the calibration and maintenance of electrical test and measurement equipment.

Estimated Salary: £40,000+ per annum, depending on skills and experience.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-end calibrations and repairs on a wide variety of electrical test and measurement equipment (TMDE). You will also deliver targeted training to team members and apprentices/graduates, deputise for the ICS Electrical team leader, and write and approve calibration procedures and measurement uncertainty budgets.

You will work closely with technical stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our measurements. A strong understanding of quality systems and standards is essential for this role, as well as relevant academic qualifications such as a STEM degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-end calibrations and repairs on TMDE equipment
  • Deliver targeted training to team members and apprentices/graduates
  • Deputise for the ICS Electrical team leader
  • Write and approve calibration procedures and measurement uncertainty budgets

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Essential Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a precision electrical calibration laboratory environment
  • Understanding of quality systems and standards (ISO 17025/ISO 9001)
  • Relevant academic qualification (STEM degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
