Job Role: Senior Engineer
This position requires a highly skilled Senior Engineer to lead and manage a team of engineers in the calibration of electrical test and measurement equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in precision electrical calibration, metrology, and measurement uncertainty budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers in the calibration of electrical test and measurement equipment
- Develop and implement measurement uncertainty budgets and calibration procedures
- Perform high-accuracy calibrations and repairs on a wide range of electrical test and measurement equipment
- Deliver on-the-job training and experiential learning to junior engineers and apprentices
- Deputise for the team leader as required, including people and resource management
Requirements:
- Experience in precision electrical calibration and metrology
- Understanding of quality systems and standards (ISO 17025/ISO 9001)
- Relevant academic qualification (STEM degree, HNC/HND or equivalent)
- UKAS signatory status for electrical calibration (desirable)
- Experience in automation software (Fluke Metcal, Met/Track, Met/Teams, Labview) (desirable)
