Electrical Systems Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Aeropeople Limited in Barrow in Furness. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the build, test and commissioning, and in service safety of Royal Navy operational vessels.

You will work closely with external suppliers to meet the standards of engineering excellence required to provide the Royal Navy. Your role will involve writing technical specifications, liaising with external suppliers and customers, following design lifecycle management, and providing technical consultation to multi-discipline teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Writing technical specifications and supporting in the down selection and placing of contracts
  2. Liaising and collaborating with external suppliers and the customer
  3. Following design lifecycle management to ensure the delivery of equipment to specification
  4. Providing technical consultation to multi-discipline teams, suppliers and stakeholders on matters related to the power system
Requirements:
  • Qualified Electrical Engineer (ONC/HNC/HND/Degree level or appropriate experience)
  • Experience in the design of Electrical Systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is up to £38,000 per annum dependent upon experience. Additionally, you will receive a relocation package, flexible working pattern including working from home/ flexible start and finish times, 25 holiday days plus bank holidays- 26 days after 5 years' service/ 27 days after 10 years' service, and other benefits such as Enhanced Pension scheme- up to 14% combined, Shared Incentive Plan, Employee Assistance Programme, Cycle to Work Scheme, Life Assurance (you and your spouse/ partner)- 6 x salary, Ill Health Income Protection/ Private Medical Insurance- 50% of salary.
