Learning Disability Clinical Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Disability Clinical Care Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to adults with complex needs, ensuring that all work is needs-led, evidence-based, and in line with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical supervision and appraisals of nursing staff within the team
- Support the development of services in line with workstreams focused on mental health, forensic, physical health, neurodevelopmental conditions, and cognitive impairment
- Deliver training to other staff, service users, and carers
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Evidence of post-registration module training in specialist areas, such as physical health in learning disabilities or dementia
- Able to chair meetings and lead a team
- Reasonable post-qualifying experience working with adults with learning disabilities in a community setting
- Direct experience working with clients with complex needs, including challenging behavior, epilepsy, mental health problems, and continuing healthcare
The salary for this role is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including a contributory pension scheme and generous annual leave allowance.
