Senior Clinical Lead for Adults with Learning Disabilities

We are seeking an experienced Learning Disability Nurse to join our Intensive Support Function (ISF) Team on a 24-month fixed-term contract. This role offers a chance to work closely with individuals who require additional support due to mental health or behavioural needs.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality clinical care that is evidence-based, needs-led, and compliant with current legislation.
  • Supporting the development of services aligned with our workstreams, focusing on mental health, forensic, physical health, neurodevelopmental conditions, and cognitive impairment.
  • Providing clinical supervision and appraisals for nursing staff within the team and supervising students during their placement.

Key requirements:

  • A minimum of two years' experience working with adults with learning disabilities in a community setting.
  • Direct experience working with clients with complex needs, such as challenging behaviour, epilepsy, mental health problems, and continuing healthcare.
  • Clinical supervision of staff.
  • Delivery of training to other staff, service users, and carers.
  • Awareness of relevant legislation and good practice relating to learning disabilities.
  • Experience in delivering quality initiatives.

Salary: £38,890 - £44,503 per annum, depending on experience.
