Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Procurement Specialist to join our team at Technical Prospects. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing suppliers, ensuring best quality, services, and commercial terms are achieved while working within the team to ensure an efficient, friendly, and professional procurement service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase products and services: Procure goods and services to meet the company's needs, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Collaborate with department managers: Work closely with department managers to ensure continuity of supply of all necessary raw materials and consumables in line with the broader sales and production forecasts.
  • Tender generation and evaluation: Generate and evaluate tenders to ensure best practices are adhered to and best possible commercial terms are achieved.
  • Maintain supplier on-boarding and performance assessment procedures: Ensure continuous improvements to service levels and commercial terms for the business by maintaining supplier on-boarding and performance assessment procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal departments: Support internal departments with product sourcing, pricing, technical data, bid support, and new product development.
  • Produce and analyze reports and forecasts: Generate and analyze reports and forecasts as required to inform business decisions.
  • Solve problems with orders or invoices: Efficiently and timely resolve issues with orders or invoices.
  • Support team members: Collaborate with team members to promote continuous improvement within the team.

Additional Duties:

  • Deliver outstanding products and customer experience: Provide exceptional products and services to customers, ensuring an effortless experience.
  • Manage data and records: Organize and update relevant data and records as required.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for improvement and suggest constructive changes or developments.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations: Work with customers and colleagues to identify problems and advise on solutions while managing expectations of stakeholders.
