Evening Care Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Evening Care Assistant to join our team at Home Instead Havant. As an Evening Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of your clients during the evening hours (4pm - 10pm).

This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while working alongside a supportive team in a rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and assistance to residents with tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding, as needed.
  • Support residents with mobility and transferring, using proper lifting and transferring techniques.
  • Monitor and record vital signs and other relevant information, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions to promote emotional well-being and mental stimulation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care for residents.

  • Flexibility to work evening shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Full UK Driver's License with access to your own vehicle.
  • Employment is subject to a full Adults Enhanced DBS check.
