About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Weekend Care Assistant to join our team at Home Instead Havant. As a Weekend Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of your clients during the weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and assistance to residents with tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding, as needed.
- Supporting residents with mobility and transferring, using proper lifting and transferring techniques.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs and other relevant information, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Engaging residents in meaningful activities and social interactions to promote emotional well-being and mental stimulation.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care for residents.
Requirements
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to care, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Reliable and dependable, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to upholding the values and standards of our organisation.
- Flexibility to work evening shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Full UK Driver's License with access to your own vehicle.
- Employment is subject to a full Adults Enhanced DBS check.
What We Offer
- Competitive pay: £13 per hour between 09:00 - 18:00 on weekdays, £14 per hour on evenings, early mornings and weekends.
