Job Title: Water Resources Strategic Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Resources Strategic Lead to join our team at South West Water. As a key member of our Water Resources team, you will play a critical role in leading the development of our water resource strategy and ensuring the long-term sustainability of our water resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of our water resource strategy, including the creation of the Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) and Drought Management Plan (DMP).
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Water Resources Strategy team, ensuring the effective delivery of our water resource strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement water resource-related policies and procedures.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including regulators and industry partners, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to advance our water resource interests.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the Environment Agency and other water companies.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in water resource strategy and planning, with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong knowledge of water resources management and environmental regulation.
