About the Job

As an Emergency Nurse Practitioner with NHS Professionals, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of community settings, providing vital healthcare services and making a significant impact on patients' lives.

The role offers a unique blend of professional fulfillment and adaptable scheduling, allowing you to balance your personal commitments while delivering compassionate care on a flexible schedule.

You will be responsible for assessing and monitoring patient conditions, recognizing deterioration, and taking appropriate action or escalation. You will also work autonomously, providing completed episodes of care to individuals and prescribing within your scope of practice.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop professionally and gain experience in several wards or areas, with access to learning and development opportunities through our partner trusts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and monitoring patient conditions and arranging diagnostic tests
  • Recognizing deterioration in the physical or mental condition of a patient and taking appropriate action/escalation
  • Working within scope of practice using specialist knowledge in relation to minor injuries and health problems
  • Working in partnership with other health and social care providers

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse Level 1 or HCPC registered paramedic
  • Post-registration diploma or equivalent in advanced assessment skills for non-medical practitioners
  • Experience of managing within a healthcare setting
