Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a dedicated Supervising Social Worker to join their Fostering Post Approval Team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessments and Support Plans: Carry out Initial, Core, and specialized assessments to formulate support plans for service users, coordinating their implementation or referring cases to relevant service areas.
  • Case Management: Manage complex cases, organizing support packages, assessing risk to service users' health and wellbeing, and monitoring situations to adjust support as needed.
  • Tactical Teamwork: Participate in multidisciplinary teams and meetings, planning reviews with colleagues and relevant professionals to analyze service users' needs and plan care programs.
  • Record Keeping: Ensure accurate and timely recording of all relevant information and reports, adhering to Directorate and legislative policies and procedures.
  • Expert Testimony: Provide written and verbal evidence in court, adoption, and fostering panels, conducting necessary planning and assessments in conjunction with professionals, and delivering evidence to support decisions and recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Social Work degree or equivalent.
  • Social Work England Registration.
  • Knowledge of UK legislation relevant to children and families.
  • Experience working with children, young people, and their families.
