We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Treatment Planning Dosimetrist to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our Radiotherapy Physics department, you will be responsible for leading the Treatment Planning Dosimetry team and providing expert clinical leadership in the planning and delivery of radiotherapy treatments.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide professional clinical leadership and effective management of the Treatment Planning Dosimetry team.
- Lead the development and implementation of new treatment planning techniques and protocols.
- Collaborate with clinical oncologists, therapeutic radiographers, and senior managers to provide a high-quality service.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and audit of Quality Assurance programmes related to Treatment Planning.
- Act as a mentor and professional advisor to new staff and less experienced staff.
- Professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g., MSc in Medical Physics).
- Proven experience in treatment planning and dosimetry.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
