Job Opportunity: HSE Manager

Hunter Selection is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to lead our site's HSE strategy.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Implement and maintain comprehensive HSE standards, processes, and procedures.
  2. Provide expert coaching and guidance on best practices across HSE to supervisors and managers.
  3. Manage the implementation and maintenance of EHS and ISO14001 environmental strategies.
  4. Evaluate and enhance the site's legal compliance with regards to HSE, adhering to ISO14001 & ISO45000 standards.
  5. Conduct thorough investigations into accidents and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  6. Develop and maintain site-specific guidelines for risk assessments, SSOW, control & monitoring hazards, substances, work equipment, PPE, and manual handling.
  7. Deliver effective health & safety inductions for contractors and new staff members.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience as an HSE Manager or equivalent role.
  • Proficiency in NEBOSH General Certificate and IOSH certification.
  • Knowledge of ISO14001 auditing principles.
  • Ability to stay informed about changing HSE standards and ensure site compliance.
  • Flexibility to engage with employees outside regular working hours.
  • Practical experience with Environmental Management Systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively coach and influence staff and managers.

Salary Range: £45,000-£50,000 per annum. We offer a rewarding salary range as part of our comprehensive benefits package.
