Accountancy Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Syndicate Accountant to join our Finance department at Tokio Marine Kiln Insurance Services Limited. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for our Lloyd's syndicates.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Data Preparation: Assist in the calculation and preparation of key accounting journals for managed Lloyd's syndicates, ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements.
- Reconciliation and Analysis: Produce key syndicate reconciliations, including debtors and creditors, and investment reconciliations, to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
- Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit annual and quarterly syndicate regulatory returns, meeting all deadlines and requirements.
- Financial Performance Analysis: Conduct quarterly analytical reviews on the performance and financial position of our syndicates, providing valuable insights for business decision-making.
- Administrative Support: Assist with the implementation of new processes to ensure efficient delivery of reporting changes from Lloyd's and other internal or external parties.
- System Development: Collaborate in the development of systems and databases to increase efficiency and automation levels.
- Information Review and Liaison: Critically review information received from other departments for inclusion in syndicate financial returns and liaise with internal and external auditors.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office is essential for this role, as is Lloyd's/Insurance reporting and accounting knowledge. Ideally, the successful candidate will be a qualified accountant or working towards obtaining ACA/ACCA or an equivalent qualification. We are looking for a strong communicator with excellent organisational and analytical skills.
