About the Role

Caterpillar's Integrated Components and Solutions (ICS) team is seeking an experienced Electronics Systems Engineer to join our CAT ICS Electronics European Division in Stafford. As part of the Engine Electronic Systems and Software Team, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of electrical and electronic control systems for powertrains developed by Caterpillar in the UK and built around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the selection and application of suitable electronic components and coordinate the development team members.
  • Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and validation activities for electronic systems and components.
  • Provide technical support for queries related to pinouts, schematic questions, and software functionality.
  • Investigate and analyze reported quality issues.

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified engineer with four years of post-graduation experience in systems engineering activities involved in the development of electronic engine, machine, or automotive control systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating with technical team members in the development and support of electronic systems and components.
