Job Summary

We are seeking an Electronics Hardware Specialist to join our team in Barton Under Needwood, Staffordshire, UK. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electronic engineering and be able to provide technical support to manufacturing and test departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide electronic systems engineering knowledge and skills to engineering projects.
  • Produce and check technical documentation including specifications, electronic design information, test plans & specifications, technical reports.
  • Test, Production and Quality Department support throughout product cycle.
  • Support investigations into failures of electronic systems & components, determine root cause and present findings.
  • Specify test equipment and specifications to undertake measurements or monitoring of electrical & electronic systems and equipment whilst in operation.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree (or equivalent) in electronic engineering.
  • Strong background in electronic systems engineering.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
  • Good understanding of quality management principles and practices.
  • Experience working in a test facility with sub-assembly build knowledge.
  • Familiarity with control systems and railway/rolling stock electronics development.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary (£45,000 - £60,000 per annum) and will be based in our office in Barton Under Needwood, Staffordshire, UK.
