Job Title: Fertility Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fertility Nurse to join our team at DA Private Healthcare Recruitment. As a Fertility Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support in our state-of-the-art fertility clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Duties:
    • Perform phlebotomy procedures with precision and accuracy.
    • Assist with data entry, including entering ultrasound measurements.
    • Decontaminate trans-vaginal probes between scans.
    • Use aseptic techniques when assisting with invasive procedures.
    • Nurse consultations with patients, perform injection teaching sessions, and obtain consent forms.
    • Perform screening and update checklists.
    • Set up patients for treatment schedules and book appointments according to protocols.
    • Advise patients on medication regimes and administration.
    • Communicate clearly and concisely with patients and colleagues.
    • Provide clear instructions on treatment and treatment plans.
    • Have a thorough understanding of in-house consent forms.
    • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of drug regimens and clinical protocols.
    • Administer medication with patient consent.
    • Advise patients with positive pregnancy tests on ongoing care plans and protocols.
  • Non-Clinical Duties:
    • Check emergency equipment and complete daily quality management checks.
    • Assist with pharmacy quality management by conducting stock takes and checking prescriptions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in fertility nursing.
  • Phlebotomy experience.
  • Ability to cannulate.
  • Experience in monitoring patients after sedation.
  • Experience with scanning (highly desirable).
