A leading private healthcare provider, DA Private Healthcare Recruitment, is seeking a highly skilled Fertility Nurse Specialist to join their team in Central London.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced clinical environment. Key duties and responsibilities include:

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Performing phlebotomy procedures with precision and accuracy.
  • Assisting with data entry and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensuring the proper decontamination of trans-vaginal probes between scans.
  • Utilizing aseptic techniques during invasive procedures.
  • Nursing consultations with patients, providing injection teaching sessions, and obtaining consent forms.
  • Performing screening and updating checklists as required.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, displaying empathy and compassion.
  • Providing clear instructions on treatment plans and protocols.
  • Demonstrating a thorough understanding of in-house consent forms and clinical protocols.
  • Administering medication with patient consent.
  • Advise patients on ongoing care plans and protocols, liaising with the medical team as necessary.

Non-Clinical Responsibilities

  • Ensuring emergency equipment is functional and readily available.
  • Completing daily quality management checks on medicine management.
  • Assisting with pharmacy quality management, including stock takes and prescription checks.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in fertility care.
  • Phlebotomy experience and ability to cannulate.
  • Experience in monitoring patients after sedation.
  • Scanning experience (highly desirable).
